Ever since Oxford his interests have centered on the mysteries of landscape, whether actual, literary, or mystical, publishing a book, "The Visionary Landscape", with McGill Press in 1971 on journeys through our inner realms in medieval experience. This interest is now being expanded into "The Shapes of Chaos," a history of westerners' explorations of our inner landscapes from the Gilgamesh Epic up to our present deconstructions and disintegrations, designated for publication as a book and as a basis for a TV series.
